No Tomorrow

“I’ll see you in a few days!”

I sure hope so.

Everyone always says things like this.

We put off everything until tomorrow,

But what is tomorrow never comes?

We’ve gotta live every day to the fullest,

Get to work checking off items on our bucket-lists.

Anything could happen at any time,

May as well be ready if that day ever arrives.

I don’t mean to scare you,

But it could be true.

Get to work doing what you love and want to do,

We shouldn’t delay any longer.

The end of the days could be near,

May as well be ready in case it comes here.

I didn’t mean to scare you guys (if this topic scares or even makes sense to you), I just think of the possibility of there not being a tomorrow whenever someone says “see you later” and thought the topic might be a cool poem idea.
